COMPARATIVE KEY FIGURES

The data and indicators presented here offer a comparative view of the health systems in the 27 European Union Member States, plus Switzerland, Serbia, the United Kingdom, and other OECD countries, in some cases.  These comparisons cover the most recent available values and trends over the past five to ten years. They give insights into European hospital activities, challenges, capacities, and the state of their healthcare workforce.

All data, indicators, and graphs are extracted from the most authoritative comparative sources: the World Health Organization (WHO), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the EU’s statistics instrument (Eurostat).
