SUMMARY:The European Parliament’s role in prioritising patients\, public health and heath security across Europe
DESCRIPTION:The event will explore what pragmatic steps can be taken by EU decision-makers to ensure patients and public health are not forgotten during the Article 50 negotiations\, regardless of how the talks progress. It will consider what can be done to ensure public health and health security are prioritised during those talks. \nThis event has been organised by 18 EU-level health organisations who have come together to ensure that the needs of patients are prioritised during the Brexit negotiations\, and will discuss the following topics: \n\nThe patient organisation’s perspective\nImportance of EU public health infrastructure\nThe critical value of collaboration in research\nThe value of collaboration across Europe in Horizon Europe\nAccess to and safety of medicines and medical technologies\n\n  \nConfirmed speakers include:  \n\nProf. Gerd R.
