SUMMARY:APDH – Conference: “New Times. New Challenges”
DESCRIPTION: \nThe Portuguese Association for Hospital Development (APDH) is organising its fifth biannual Conference\, to be held virtually on 22-23 November 2020\, with the theme: “New Times. New Challenges”.  \nGlobal health systems have long faced difficult and complex challenges\, such as increasing ageing\, chronic diseases and comorbidities\, health inequalities and major cost increases. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated many of these weaknesses\, and its effects on population health\, economies and the well-being of society\, in general\, are already evident.  \nHence\, it is important to rethink the way health systems are financed and organised and to promote efficient use of resources to guarantee a Portuguese National Health Service (Serviço Nacional de Saúde – SNS) that is capable of responding to current and future challenges. This event will therefore analyse and reflect the following major topics: 1. Access to Healthcare; 2. Innovation and Care Integration; 3. Technology and Digitalisation; 4. Human Capital; 5.
